It was a trip to France in 2012 that sparked the inception of Black Walnut and six months later the bakery debuted at the Minneapolis Farmers Market on Nicollet Mall. After a successful market season, the bakery shut and reformed as a weekend pop-up at One on One Bike Studio where customers lined up for bread and pastry.
In the latest venture, Black Walnut supplies fresh pastries daily to Spyhouse Coffee.
